DEFINITIONS
Employees serving in an at-will status may be dismissed at any time and for any reason that is not based on impermissible grounds, by the President, or the President's designee. The President or designee will notify, via hand-delivery, certified mail and/or campus email, any employee who will be separated.
The employee has the right to appeal the President’s or designee's decision to the Board of Trustees as outlined in Policy 3.11.3– Right of Appeal provided; however, the Board of Trustees will only hear and consider an employee’s appeal if the employee is alleging that the separation is based on Impermissible Grounds.
Employees may submit their resignation to the appropriate Vice President. The College requests employees provide at least thirty (30) calendar days' notice of the resignation.
In cases where, in lieu of disciplinary action and dismissal, an the employee offers to unilaterally resign, the President may exercise discretion in accepting the resignation or may continue with the disciplinary and dismissal process.
