Evaluation of Instruction
All faculty—full-time and adjunct—undergo annual performance evaluations. The primary reasons for evaluation are to help faculty improve teaching, and ensure consistently high quality courses. The evaluation is conducted by the department chair from a combination of classroom observations, online course observations (if applicable), course materials, and student surveys. (See Appendix B for Classroom Observation Evaluation Form and the Online Classroom Observation Evaluation). The classroom observation is also recorded using SharePoint.
The Online Classroom Observation Evaluation process is in place to ensure the quality of online courses and provide a quality experience for the student. The course observation form is aligned with the Course Expectations.
