The College firewall shall be configured to explicitly block websites categorized as sexually explicit material including the following vendor-designated categories:
Adult
The College firewall shall not be configured to block or restrict categories designated by the firewall vendor as:
Sex Education
Devices that are loaned to employees or students shall be configured with content filtering software such that devices used off campus enforce similar restrictions as the College firewall.
The firewall shall be configured to email a report to the IT and Human Resources team when an attempt is made to access a website that falls within vendor-defined categories noted above.
Since it is possible that the employee did not intend to visit the site in question, or the content filtering system incorrectly categorized the website, IT staff will provide additional information to Human Resources upon request to assist in their investigation.
It is the responsibility of the Human Resources department to determine whether the College policies or state law were violated and whether the incident is reportable.
