The President shall provide for the establishment, purpose, and operation of appropriate standing College committees. Such committees will be ongoing by nature and will be considered an integral part of the operation of the College.
Ad hoc committees will be appointed by the President of Blue Ridge Community College to study any special problem of the College which requires committee involvement, and which cannot be studied by a standing committee. Specifically, problems concerning academic questions (admission policies, grading, transferability of credit, advanced placement, etc.) or administrative problems needing special study are tasks usually assigned this type of committee. Ad hoc committees are appointed to study the specific problem assigned and are discharged when they have completed their work and have made a final report.
