Social media is a form of online publication or presence that allows end users to engage in multi-directional conversations in or around the content on the website. The most common examples are Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for posting content on primary Blue Ridge Community College social media sites. Primary sites are:

The Marketing department is responsible for all official College social media communications. No College employee is authorized to establish official social media channels, publications or posts without the explicit approval of the Marketing department or designee.
Employees Use of Private Webpages and Social Media Sites
Refer to the "Private Employee Websites, Social Media, and Other Internet Use" section of the College's Acceptable Use policy 8.1.3.
