- As a part of their normal training, some students are engaged in activities where the health and well-being of persons outside the school are involved. Examples of such activities include nursing or cosmetology students who encounter third party recipients (private citizens) in their training. Under these conditions, the institution incurs a moral and legal obligation concerning the student and the recipient of his/her services. To insure the safety of the third party recipients, the institution may suspend, expel, or refuse to enroll any such student who:
- Presents problems in physical or emotional health which do not respond to appropriate treatment and/or counseling within a reasonable period of time; or
- Demonstrates behavior which conflicts with safety essential to third party recipients.
- Procedures and safeguards described in the College’s Student Grievance and Due Process policy and accompanying procedures will apply.
