BRCC has identified four specific college-level competencies within the general education core that are tracked for associate degree students to gauge the level of proficiency of its graduates. These outcomes are listed in each applicable course syllabus. Instructors should list the learning outcomes on their syllabi along with the more specific course competencies. The institutional learning outcomes are:

  • CommunicationStudents will communicate with clarity and precision in appropriate contexts.
  • Analytical Thinking: Students will analyze and solve problems using discipline-appropriate techniques and technologies.
  • Professional SkillsStudents will develop personal and professional skills to be productive members of the community and the workforce.
