The principal responsibility of the Faculty Senate is to discuss academic matters and other areas of concern that relate to the instructional program. Their jurisdiction in academic affairs includes making recommendations to the appropriate Vice President and the President's Council or requesting that an academic question be studied by a special task force appointed by the President or the President's Council. The Faculty Senate has no administrative responsibilities, but serves as the source of policy formation and revision in academic matters and other areas of concern that relate to the instructional program.
