Academic Continuity
In cases where classes are postponed due to sudden campus closures, extreme weather, or illness, the utilization of “Online Learning” offers tools and support for seamless academic continuity.
Faculty unable to meet in person with their course for a single or multiple sessions should utilize the “Online Transition Toolkit” to design appropriate instructional alternatives.
Faculty can locate the Online Transition Toolkit within MyCourses or by contacting the Online Learning Support team.
Preparation Checklist
Every Blue Ridge course (regardless of delivery method) is provided an online shell within our Learning Management System (LMS). Instructors are encouraged to access these course-specific shells to plan ahead for possible disruptions. Doing so will make the transition less stressful for both the instructor and their students.
