The Board of Trustees authorizes the President to establish procedures governing research that includes human subjects. Research conducted by college faculty, staff or students that involves human subjects must be reviewed and approved by the College's Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure the safety and ethical treatment of all persons involved as well as compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
