- Except as otherwise determined by the President or the Trustees, all full-time employees are hired at-will and receive an offer letter for employment which they sign if they accept the job offer.Ā The offer letter of employment is not an employment contract. Part-time non-instructional andĀ part-time instructional employees of Blue Ridge Community College receive contracts that specify the rate of pay and duration of appointment.Ā Part-time employees are hired for a fixed term for a specific purpose, and nothing written in the contract or by oral agreement is to state or imply that the employment will be continued beyond the fixed term.
- A copy of the signed contract or offer letter mustĀ be received by theĀ Human Resources OfficeĀ before a checkĀ willĀ be issued to an employee.Ā A copy will be kept in the personnel fileĀ in the Human Resources Office.
